The Cumberland County Assistance Office aims to improve the quality of life for Pennsylvania’s individuals and families by promoting opportunities for independence through services and support while demonstrating accountability for taxpayer resources.
Diakon Youth Services offers a range of faith-related, community-based treatment, vocational training, counseling, and mentoring services for at risk youth.
This group provides support for grandparents raising grandchildren due to parental substance use disorders. The group meets Monthly on First Tuesday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Bosler Library in Carlisle, PA.
The United Way offers shelter and basic need services, adult education and selfsufficiency initiatives, early education programs, and youth intervention initiatives. New initiatives include a Student Leadership Council and a Women’s Leadership Initiative.
The YMCA offers programs, services and initiatives focused on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility according to the unique needs of the communities it engages. The YMCA is a place for swim, sports, play among youth, fitness, well-being among adults and social opportunities for seniors.
