CHIP is not welfare. It is a health insurance program for children ages birth-19. Program eligibility is based on family income, ages of children and family size. Coverage may be free or low-cost.
We are providers of free/affordable health care insurance, from birth through 18 years of age. Our agency also helps people obtain information and materials on prevention.
Designed to provide assistance to older persons who are caring for children of family members. The child and the caregiver must live in the same household. Program benefits include: Assessment; Caregiver education; Reimbursement for services, respite, equipment and supplies with receipts; Reimbursement for payments made to private paid non-family members.
