Information and resources available for kinship care families.
The PA Kinship Navigator is an online database of programs, services, and resources available for kinship care families in Pennsylvania. Information is presented by county.
Please use this form to submit a Pennsylvania kinship program that is available in your area. The information you enter will be incorporated into the PA Kinship Navigator (online database), which is a Penn State Extension service for all residents of Pennsylvania.
This program aims to expand supportive services available for PA relative caregivers and the children they are raising, particularly in terms of helping them find needed information and resources, find and enroll in support groups that serve kinship care families, and engage in family-based recreational and relationship-enhancing activities. County-based Extension educators and the human service professionals with whom they collaborate provide a range of services in various counties throughout the state.
Kin Connector helpline: 1-866-KIN-2111 -- a helpline for families in kinship care situations, including grandparents raising their grandchildren. The KinConnector helpline can help kinship care families access local, state, and federal resources. More information about KinConnector and its services and supports for kinship families can be found at www.kinconnector.org.
