Better Kid Care has more than 75 professional development lessons for child care professionals available online. A new lesson on how to involve senior adults in early childhood care and education programs was recently added to their menu. Information includes how to recruit and train senior volunteers, prepare staff, and integrate senior adults into the curriculum. Select: Develop an Intergenerational Program (for Center Directors) from the menu of “On Demand Lesson Titles.” There is a small fee ($5.00/lesson) to take an assessment at the end and receive a certificate of completion. All Better Kid Care lessons are accepted for CDA and CEUs are available.
