“Using Technology to Connect Generations: Some Considerations of Form and Function” is the title of an article recently published in the communication and education journal, Comunicar (vol. 23, no. 45, 2015).

Written by Mariano Sánchez, Matt Kaplan, and Leah Bradley, the article focuses on education and learning processes within intergenerational programs that have a strong technology component. The article reports on results from a survey conducted with 46 intergenerational programs from 11 countries. The identified programs span a range of family contexts and community settings, and utilize new and emerging technologies to build relationships, promote understanding and facilitate cooperation between generations.
