Connecting Generations through Language Education

NCFR (National Council on Family Relations) Video of the Week (September 15, 2014).

An English-language learning center in Brazil set out to help its students learn from native English speakers, and found the perfect partners -- older Americans living in retirement homes. Through this speaking-exchange project, the students are not only able to converse in English with native speakers, but both sides get the opportunity to form new friendships and learn about each others’ generations.
