Objectives
- Recognize how the practice of developing peer allies can increase the safety of children with Type 1 diabetes in group settings, as well as build empathy among their peers.
- Describe what skills are appropriate for children and youth to learn at different stages of development to become effective peer allies.
- Identify a series of lessons to teach the attitudes and skills of Type 1 diabetes allies to groups of children.
