Brain development affects all future learning, behavior and health. Children’s experiences shape the ways their brains develop. This lesson describes best practices for early childhood professionals to create experiences that support the development of physical and cognitive skills in infants and toddlers, and to use assessment of current practices to improve the quality of care for young children.
