Early childhood professionals are uniquely positioned to help shape climate resilience. Awareness of climate change is critical in recognizing young children's physiologically distinct vulnerability to climate hazards, such as excessive heat, increased flooding, and poor air quality. Through the lens of climate change, this course weaves together child-centered, climate-resilient, and equitable strategies to reduce risks, increase protective factors, and comprehensively ensure children's healthy development now and in the future.
