The Center for Professional Personnel Development has a robust portfolio of professional development offerings to cultivate outstanding positive agents of change in school-based agricultural educators.
The New and Beginning Teacher Program is an initiative of The Center for Professional Personnel Development that strives to meet the needs of beginning agricultural education teachers. The objectives of the program are to equip beginning teachers in Pennsylvania with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions for a successful career in agricultural education. The New & Beginning program is for agriculture teachers in their first three years of service in Pennsylvania. The program is comprised of both in person and virtual events that assist new teachers in developing skills and competencies in a supportive, professional learning community. For information on this year's remaining programming, please contact Ms. Bethany Mathie at blm157@psu.edu
There are many in service professional development opportunities available to our Pennsylvania Agricultural Sciences Educators. These activities are either hosted by the Center for Professional Personnel Development or are opportunities that we have found out about that are available to Pennsylvania teachers.
