Project description: For this Open Philanthropy-funded project, the study team is using retailer-based and household-based food-purchase data to examine how food retailers' and consumers' behaviors change during local or regional natural disasters, such as hurricanes, floods, or wild fires. More specifically, the team will look for price spikes, "stock outs", and other significant departures from past retailing or purchasing behavior.
