"Best Practices for Planning Global Experiences"

Friday, November 7th, 6:00 - 8:00 PM

Learning Goals:

  1. Finding ways to fund global experiences
  2. Work with Risk Management
  3. Communicating core values to key stakeholders
  4. Creating co-curricular global learning opportunities
  5. Engaging in new partnerships through global learning
  6. Lessons learned in preparing for and conducting intensive international experiences

"Bringing the World to Your Classroom: Frameworks for Globalizing Your Curriculum"

Saturday, November 8th, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Learning Goals:

  1. Interpreting individual assessment of educator/student global competency: Intercultural Development Inventory
  2. Reviewing frameworks for internationalizing your instruction
  3. Utilize teaching and learning strategies discussed during the conference to internationalize your instructional materials 
  4. Engaging in innovation: space for participants to explore global agriculture innovation, developing collaborative research projects and/or creating future instructional programming.
  5. Exploring additional resources for global learning

Registration Details

Registration fee is $25.  Registration is by invitation only.

For your registration fee:

  • You will have access to one of fifty seats in the pre-conference programming on Friday evening, with dinner included
  • You will have access to one of fifty seats in the first Global Learning in Agriculture Conference (Saturday)
  • You will have the opportunity to complete an individual assessment and be provided with an interpretation of the results (Saturday)
  • You will receive a curriculum resource and digital flash drive to help you bring the world to your students
