Lehigh Valley Virtual Open Gate Farm Tours
The Open Gate Farm Tours, organized by Penn State Extension, have been a local tradition in the Lehigh Valley for decades. Each year, farms throughout both Lehigh and Northampton counties "open their gates" to the public to help educate the community on exactly what they do! The tours have the support of many farm community partners which also help to enhance the events. Each year since its inception, the tour has attracted thousands of residents from the Lehigh Valley and beyond and has raised awareness of the importance of supporting the local agricultural community as well as helping to build good relationships with non-farm neighbors.
