UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Office of Planning, Assessment, and Institutional Research (OPAIR) and the Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence have announced the recipients of the 2022 assessment grants. Assessment grants provide funding for activities that support academic learning outcomes assessment at Penn State, including assessment activities and action plans developed as a result of prior assessment findings.
This year’s recipients are Angela Brown, lecturer in accounting at Penn State Schuylkill, for the Schuylkill Assessment Leader Community Book Project; Timothy Kelsey, professor of agricultural economics in the College of Agricultural Sciences, for the Agricultural Economics, Sociology, and Education Assessment Training and Planning Retreat; and Haruko Iwami, associate teaching professor of Japanese in the College of the Liberal Arts, for the Assessment of Reading Comprehension in Japanese.
“We appreciate the generosity of the Schreyer Institute in funding these grants,” said Betty Harper, assistant vice provost for assessment. “We look forward to seeing the results of the projects that they support.”
