Penn State Agricultural Education Student Awarded with Youth Leadership Award

The Department of Agricultural and Extension Education is pleased to congratulate one of our own, Mr. Douglas Masser, on receiving the 2011 Penn State Ag Council Youth Leadership Award.

Doug is currently a senior majoring in Agricultural and Extension Education with a goal of becoming a teacher of agriculture in a Pennsylvania High School. He is currently president of Alpha Tau Alpha, an honorary Agricultural Education Fraternity as well as serving as Vice President of the Penn State Collegieate FFA chapter. Doug was selected for the award based upon his outstanding involvement in promoting agriculture to the community at large, encouraging others to follow their passions and his ability to serve as a role model to younger students. He will be presented with the award at Fall Delegate Meeting of the Pennsylvania Ag Council later this fall.
