New faces at Northeast Center’s annual leadership meeting

Posted: October 26, 2016

Members of the Northeast Center's Board of Directors (BOD) and Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) met in Bedford, PA on October 13-14, 2016 to discuss the Center's progress towards its goals and to provide input to its 2017 plan of work. The meeting also gave the newest members of the BOD and TAC a chance to become acquainted with the Center’s work.

New members of the BOD include Michael O’Neill, University of Connecticut, and Daniel Azzara, Penn State. O’Neill is the Associate Dean and Associate Director of University of Connecticut Extension, and is the incoming Chair of the Northeast Extension Directors (NEED). Azzara is the Interim Department Head of Penn State’s Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology, and Education.

New members of the TAC include Heather Stephens, Assistant Professor of
Agricultural and Resource Economics at West Virginia University, and David Kay, Senior Extension Associate with the Community and Regional Development Institute (CaRDI) at Cornell University.

The Northeast Center is very grateful to all the members of its leadership team—past and present—and would like to thank outgoing members for their excellent service:

  • Dennis Calvin, Penn State
