RFP: Regional Collaboration of Successful CRD Extension Program Planning Grant

Posted: February 26, 2015

The Northeast Regional Center for Rural Development, on the advice of its Technical Advisory Committee and with approval from its Board of Directors, is pleased to announce the following RFP: “Regional Delivery of Successful Extension Program Planning Grant.” These competitive grants are designed to support Northeast state Extension Services and Land Grand University (LGU) researchers pursuing engaged scholarship to expand the breadth and depth of their rural development outreach programming/engaged scholarship by facilitating collaboration between Northeast states.

George Morse is serving as our special project advisor for the RFP. His role will be to help identify programs which might be particularly relevant for this grant, make personal contacts with program leaders and answer any of their questions. When possible, he will help them make connections with others interested in similar issues or programs. To that end, he has developed an "Opportunities for Collaboration" area of the RFP website, which provides potential applicants with ideas for importing or exporting programs into/out of their home states.

The closing date for applications is March 20, 2015, and the complete RFP is available here.
