University of Vermont Annual Food Systems Summit Slated for June 17-18

The UVM Food Systems Summit is an annual event drawing scholars, practitioners, and food systems leaders to Burlington, VT, to engage in dialogue on the pressing food systems issues facing our world.

The 2014 Summit, scheduled for June 17-18, will focus on local-level responses to globalization in the food system through the following themes:

  • the impact of our geopolitical context on our food system
  • the biophysical constraints we face for food production globally
  • the implications of behavior and culture for our food system.
