A new commercial kitchen in Sackets Harbor, NY, is the result of a partnership between Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County and a commercial developer, reports North Country Public Radio. The shared-use facility was developed to help growers and processors expand their businesses.

Cornell Cooperative Extensions's Kevin Jordan is quoted in the story: "Our goal is to help the local food industry by helping growers and processors overcome barriers to growing those businesses,” Jordan said. “We want to help private business do what they do best: generate community wealth and jobs.”
