This 2017 book, published by Springer, was written by Matt Kaplan (Penn State University), Mariano Sanchez (University of Granada, Spain), and Jaco Hoffman (North-West University, South Africa, and University of Oxford, UK). Foreword by Donna Butts, Executive Director of Generations United.

This volume explores intergenerational practices and their impact on social, environmental, and institutional sustainability. Emphasis on developing programmatic efforts to address profound social challenges such as under-performing educational and work-related systems, failing support systems for dependent or vulnerable populations, and community renewal and regeneration efforts.
