Join Global Teach Ag! and CELA Belize June 17 - 23, 2017 in San Ignacio, Belize for a professional development event that will prepare you to lead global immersion experiences and familiarize you with agriculture-related opportunities in Belize.

Objectives:

  1. Identify best practices in facilitating global immersion experiences related to food, fiber and natural resources;
  2. Expand professional resources and networks for global learning in agriculture.

  1. Secondary agricultural education teachers
  2. Extension educators
  3. University instructors of agricultural sciences
  4. Study abroad professionals
  5. Pre-service candidates of agricultural education

Event Details

This professional development event consists of two parts in order to accommodate busy schedules: a 2.5 day conference, and 2.5 day post-conference immersion experience.

Conference

Dates: June 17 - 20

Join us for 2.5 days of professional development to discuss best practices in facilitating global immersion experiences in agriculture.

Post-Conference Immersion

Dates: June 20 - 23

Explore agriculture and agricultural education in Belize, while exploring local sights and experiencing local culture.  Participants will conduct site visits to locations appropriate for future immersion experiences.

Option 1: Professional Development Conference

$1500 USD. Cost includes meals, lodging, tours and materials.

Option 2: Professional Development Conference and Post-Conference Immersion

$2000 USD. Cost includes meals, lodging, tours and materials.

Registration and payment deadlines

Early registration: February 15. Full payment due at time of registration.  Bonus: receive a discount of $250 with early registration.

Regular registration deadline: April 24.  Full payment due at time of registration.
