Agricultural and Resource Economics Review award
Posted: April 5, 2016
The purpose of the Agricultural and Resource Economics Review is to foster and disseminate professional thought and literature relating to the economics of agriculture, natural resources, and community development.
Every year ARER recognizes colleagues through its Best Article award, chosen from among papers published in the previous calendar year. This year, the ARER editors identified six papers as potential candidates for the award. They then consulted with an adhoc committee of six colleagues chosen from among current Editorial Board members. Jaenicke, Kelsey and Wrenn's paper, published in the August 2015 special issue on Unconventional Oil and Gas Development, emerged as the clear choice. Their paper was presented at our 2014 NAREA workshop (held in Morgantown, WV).
The award will be officially conferred to them at the NAREA 2016 annual meeting to be held in Bar Harbor, ME, from June 19-22.
