Her research interested include the food access, food environments, urban agriculture, local and regional food systems, sustainable food, and community food security. She is currently studying the development and implementation of state and local food policy and how changing store environments affect purchasing.

She works with non-profits to evaluate their food system interventions such as farmers markets and urban farms and conducts community food assessments with Baltimore-based non-profits and community organizations.

Abstract - I will be talking about local food policies, the relationship to community food security and the need to understand scale.
