RIDGE Center for Targeted Studies announces its 2015 Call for Research Proposals

The RIDGE Center for Targeted Studies is pleased to announce its 2015 Call for Research Proposals. The RIDGE Center is hosted by the Purdue Center for Regional Development and works in collaboration with the nation’s four Regional Rural Development Centers. Funding for the RIDGE Center is provided by the Economic Research Service, USDA.

Two grant programs are now open for applications:

  • The Regular RIDGE Center Grant Program: This national program seeks to invest in innovative social sciences-based research that explores the food and nutrition assistance challenges of rural people and places. The maximum award is $35,000. Deadline date for submissions is May 15, 2015. A PDF brochure about this grant program is available here.

  • The RIDGE Doctoral Dissertation Research Grant Program: This grant program is intended to invest in graduate students attending universities in the U.S. who are pursuing doctoral research in areas that closely align with the research priorities of the RIDGE Center for Targeted Studies. Funds of up to $17,500 are available to support the doctoral research work of a small number of graduate students. Deadline date for submissions is May 20, 2015.
