- Houtian "Frank" Ge (NERCRD postdoc) presented a paper titled "Assessing the Supplier Role of Selected Optimal Locations of Fresh Produce Assembly Hubs in the United States."
- Stephan Goetz moderated a symposium titled "Defining Rural (and Urban) Geography," which featured panelists John Cromartie (USDA-ERS), Mark Partridge (Ohio State University), and fellow Penn Stater Leif Jensen. Goetz also made two presentations, titled "Research and Community and Rural Economic Development: Where Does Agricultural Economics Fit?" and "Identifying Labor Market Areas Based on Link Communities."
- Yicheol "Char" Han (NERCRD postdoc) presented a paper titled "Workplace-anchored migration in US counties."
