New broadband resources available from UNH Cooperative Extension

The University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension’s Broadband Technical Assistance and Training Team has recently completed a four-year project focused on building awareness and capacity around broadband access and utilization in New Hampshire. In addition to providing training and technical assistance throughout the state, the team developed products that may be useful to other states.

For example, a Broadband Learning Resource website provides tools and resources for policy makers, communities, and businesses. A 12-page Issue Brief, written primarily for decision makers and titled "Leveraging Broadband to Strengthen New Hampshire’s Economy and Quality of Life," describes the community and economic opportunities that can be leveraged with broadband access and identifies challenges to and recommendations for expanding acccess.

The UNH Broadband Technical Assistance and Training Team provides educational outreach and technical assistance to communities, small businesses, and local economic development practitioners to help them expand access to and better utilize high speed internet.
