The 2015 Brabazon Award for (Intergenerational Program) Evaluation Research

Matt Kaplan, Penn State Professor of Intergenerational Programs and Aging, and Alan Lai, Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Psychology at Beijing Normal University/Hong Kong Baptist University, are co-recipients of the Brabazon Award for Evaluation Research.

The award recognized Kaplan and Lai’s work in developing and evaluating a novel intergenerational English as a Second Language program conducted with older adult volunteers as instructors in college-based ESL classes at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The award was presented at the awards luncheon on July 23, 2015 during the Generations United conference in Honolulu, Hawaii.
